Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Belgrade to get new building and campus by 2023?

In the next few months, the Government of Serbia will work on solving the problem of inadequate space in which professors and students at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Belgrade are forced to work and study, and the faculty might get a new building and a campus, the minister without a portfolio in charge of innovation and technology, Nenad Popovic, announced.

– We will try to fix the problem of inadequate space at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Belgrade, which is below all criteria compared to the neighboring countries and other countries of Europe, and I hope that, by 2023, the 150th anniversary of engineering in Serbia, we will have new buildings and a new campus – Popovic said while visiting the Faculty of Electrical Engineering.

Popovic reminded that the best young engineers from Serbia, who work both in the country and the region, as well as in the biggest world companies from Australia to America, China and Russia, are those from the faculty.

– The results of this work are visible. There are practically no unemployed electrical engineers today – Popovic noted and said that Serbia needed to invest in institutions such as the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Belgrade.

In the upcoming period, he said, the Government of Serbia will do everything in its power to create better working conditions at the faculty, as they are, according to him, absolutely inadequate today, especially considering the results achieved.
