The Development Agency of Serbia (DAS) and the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia (CCIS), with support from the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Serbia, are organizing the presentation of 15 local companies at the international food product fair Prodexpo, to be held in Moscow from February 5 through 9.

As the DAS says, the 120-m2 national stand of Serbia will feature product presentation of Bahus Paracin, Meggle Srbija Kragujevac, PIP Novi Sad, Carnex Vrbas, Beocapra Sid, Agricultural Cooperative Moravac Leskovac, Nectar Backa Palanka, KUC-Company Kragujevac, Mlekara Sabac, as well as Belgrade-based companies ITN Group, Master Fruits, Mundorama, National Distribution, Zlatiborac and Mirax Agrar.

The DAS and the CCIS are organizing the presentation of Serbian companies aiming to promote the potentials of the local economy, to support exporters and connections with foreign partners, with support from the UNDP in Serbia through the “Aid for Trade: Support to Productive Capacities in the Agro-industrial Sector in Serbia” project. This project is financed by the Government of the Russian Federation.

The DAS reminds that Prodexpo is one of the biggest and most important specialized food industry expos in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States, entailing business meetings between producers, exporters and distributors, as well as representatives of the leading retail chains.

Prodexpo is visited by over 60,000 guests from over 100 countries each year. They are provided with an opportunity of learning about the production program of over 2,200 visitors from around 60 countries and attending 30 national exhibits of countries of Europe, Asia, Africa, America and Australia.

– Participation at an international fair enables exhibitors to present their products and organize export to new markets, as well as to improve their existing business contacts and make new ones. The traditional participation of Serbian companies directly contributes to a better positioning of Serbian brands and the total growth of the exports – the DAS says in its press release and adds that export for Serbia to Russia increased by 25.7% in 2017, compared to a year before.
