Global Chemical Leasing Award 2018 opens – Applications by August 15, 2018

Under the joint sponsorship and support by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), as well as Austria, Germany and Switzerland, the fourth Global Chemical Leasing Award opens.

As announced on the website of the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia, companies and individuals are invited to submit applications for the award in three categories: case studies (for companies), special innovation, and research. The call for applications is open until August 15, 2018.

The award ceremony will be held on November 6, 2018, in Vienna, as part of the Green Chemistry Conference 2018 within the Trio Presidency of the Council of the European Union (EU) program, “Smart and Sustainable Europe”, held during Austria’s EU Presidency.

The Global Chemical Leasing Award was launched in 2010, and the idea is to acknowledge best practices and inspire companies and individuals around the globe to apply the Chemical Leasing business concept by reducing the inefficient use and over-consumption of chemicals and developing strong business partnerships along the entire supply chain.

Chemical Leasing is a service-oriented business model that shifts the focus from increasing sales volume of chemicals towards a value-added approach. The producer mainly sells the functions performed by the chemical and functional units are the main basis for payment. It aims at increasing the efficient use of chemicals while reducing the risks of chemicals and protecting human health.
