The Slovenians build factory of ferronickel in Majdanpek, €45m

Municipality of Majdanpek has good chances to obtain new factory in its industrial zone because certain Slovenian company is interested in construction of €45m worth of factory of ferronickel alloys on this territory.

That means that 260 people would get work and another 80 on the works related to transportation of raw materials and ready-made products. Opening of the factory of ferronickel alloys in the Municipality that has about 3,000 persons in the registry of the unemployed would result in reduction of number of people without job by 10%.

Initially, this factory was supposed to be built on the territory of Municipality of Kučevo, but there is no long-distance power line in the vicinity of Kučevo that could satisfy the needs of such factory, so that Slovenian investors changed location and decided to have it built in the vicinity of Majdanpek.
