Diabetic foot medicine to arrive from Cuba – Production of new medicaments in cooperation with Torlak from February 2018

Minister of Health Zlatibor Loncar announced that experts from Cuba would arrive in February 2017 in order to work on the production of new medical drugs together with their Serbian colleagues, which, as he added, was agreed during the recent visit to Cuba.

– Since Cuba is under embargo, their best experts are to come over in February and the agreement is for them to work with our experts from Torlak. They will produce not only the already existing drugs, but new ones as well – Loncar emphasized.

The first next arrival from Cuba, aside from the blood fats medicine and the cimavax vaccine for lung cancer treatment, he explains, is the diabetic foot medicine.

– We will sign an agreement so that the medicine could arrive to Serbia. I believe that we will be able to market some of our latest drugs and vaccines globally. It will just take a little patience for us to prepare a plan and a strategy and to bring Torlak back among the best institutes in the world – Loncar concluded.
