Austrian-Serbian business meetings held in Vienna – Potential for investments in Vojvodina presented

Potential for investments in Vojvodina were presented on Tuesday, December 12, 2017, in Vienna, at the “Serbia Meets Austria – Explore Serbia`s Industrial Hub Vojvodina” conference, the Chamber of Commerce of Vojvodina announced.

The organizer of the conference which brought together over 70 Austrian and Serbian companies is the Vienna-based consulting company Grimex Consult with support by the Provincial Government and the Chamber of Commerce of Vojvodina.

The president of the Provincial Government, Igor Mirovic, said that the gathering of the businessmen was another important step towards deepening the already good cooperation between Serbia and Austria.

He added that Austria was among the top countries looking by investments in Serbia, where over 500 Austrian companies operate at the moment, with invested capital exceeding EUR 3 billion.

The president of the Chamber of Commerce of Vojvodina, Bosko Vucurevic, pointed out that Austria was eighth in the total foreign trade of Vojvodina with the world, making up 3.4% of the total trade of Vojvodina, says the press release by the CCIS.
