Pirot looking to bring over Michelin suppliers

(Pirot facility) Mayor of Pirot Vladan Vasic took part in the recently held international conference of Michelin cities at the company's seat in Clermont-Ferrand, France, the website of the City of Pirot reported today.

On the occasion, Vesic announced that the goal of the local self-government was to bring over, in addition to Michelin, which employs 3,500 people in Pirot, some of the company's suppliers as well, thereby further enhancing the business environment in the city and enabling new employments.

The delegation of Pirot, in addition to Mayor Vasic, consisted of the head of the mayor's cabinet, Aleksandar Ciric, the director of Free Zone Pirot, Dr Dragan Kostic, and the marketing director of Free Zone Pirot, Aleksandar Simonovic, the website of the City of Pirot says.

– The local self-government, together with Free Zone, has created a respectable business environment, which is recognized everywhere in the world. Our task in the coming period is to convince Michelin's suppliers to come to Pirot as well – Mayor Vasic said.
