In addition to RSD 185 million for full renovation and adaptation of the old factory, to which the Turkish company Jeanci Serbia is to move its production, the Government of Serbia has reached the decision of setting aside an additional RSD 12.5 million for fire protection and the construction of a fire station, Jugpress reports.

This is Sintetik's former factory, now owned by the City of Leskovac, and Jeanci Serbia will be leased the premises for a period of 25 to 30 years, depending on their own investments and employment of new workforce.

The creation of 350 new jobs has been promised, and the precise time period of the lease will be known once a substantial study has been prepared.

Mayor of Leskovac said that “the City of Leskovac is the first place in Serbia where the local self-government has bought two companies, Jugekspres and Sintetika”.

The amendment to the Procurement Plan for 2017 envisages public procurement procedures for the landscaping and the demolition of a part of the facility of the production-commercial complex of DP Sintetika in Leskovac, estimated at RSD 5 million.
