Aelius company from Luxembourg will become a new owner of Galenika not only for fulfilling tender conditions, but also because the Commission for Protection of competition provided green light for this transaction.

When assessing the effects of the concentration, the Commission noted that the applicant was not present in the defined relevant product markets on the territory of the Republic of Serbia. It was concluded that the realization of the concentration in question will not cause adverse effects in the defined relevant markets, and the new owner will acquire the existing market share of the company.

As stated in the decision of the commission, which approved the concentration, Aelius was founded September 29 this year in Luxembourg with the goal of purchasing Galenika. The only member of the applicant is Globe Pharma, which is registered in the Luxembourg commercial register. Members of Globe Pharma are Gronin Pharma, registered in the Brazilian Business Register and Montesearch Company registered in Italy. The Montesearch Company is owned by EMS SA from Brazil.
