Construction of 270 apartments for refugees and migrants begins in Zemun – Moving into new facilities in January 2019

As Mali said on the occasion, 810 people will move in to the new apartments in late January 2019.
The value of the Kamendin project is EUR 10 million, and the funds for the construction of these apartments were provided partly from the donation fund of the Regional Housing Program through the Bank for Development of the Council of Europe and partly from the budget of the City of Belgrade. The Regional Housing Program donated EUR 6.9 million. The construction of the apartments started in the Akrobate Aleksica Street, and the deadline for the construction in January 2019. The sub-project is worth a total of EUR 46.7 million. Of this amount, the approved international donor funds amount to EUR 36.3 million, and the funds provided by the Republic of Serbia amount to EUR 10.4 million.
– In this project, the City of Belgrade donated the land, the connections and the necessary documentation, thereby giving its contribution to solving the said issue – Mali said, as reported by Beoinfo.
