Essex Balkan to invest more than EUR 30 million in Zrenjanin – City Assembly adopts decision on expropriation of land by South Korean company

The members of the City Assembly of Zrenjanin adopted the Feasibility Study on the expropriation of publicly owned building land in the Industrial Zone Southeast below market price in favor of Essex Balkan Belgrade on November 16. It will be sent for approval to the Government of Serbia, which is expected to give a positive answer.

Essex, a South Korean company looking to do business in Serbia, manufactures cable products and is interested in employing 150 people in Zrenjanin by 2023.

As Beta reports, the Study says that they plan to raise an enameled copper wire plant on the land in the Southeast zone, with investments exceeding EUR 30 million.
