General hospital in Subotica - new regional center for artificial insemination
General hospital in Subotica has become the new regional center for artificial insemination and it is the first hospital in Serbia that will use this up-to-date gynecology method. Provincial Health Secretariat has provided over 20m RSD for procurement of equipment for the artificial insemination centers.
The coordinator of the center will be Prim. Dr Aleksandar Radulović, the top expert for artificial insemination.
The Artificial insemination center in Subotica will be situated in the Gynecology-Obstetrics Ward, and it should be put into operation in October or November. About 1,400 babies are born in Subotica's hospital every year, and this region registers negative birth rate for decades, so that the existence of one such center is really precious.
In addition to financial support for procurement of equipment, the Province will also provide professional assistance, so that the whole process related to forming of the center and its initial operations will be carried out in association with doctors from the Clinical Center of Vojvodina.
