Nikola Tesla Airport increases net profit by 33% – RSD 2.7 billion earned in first three quarters

The Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport increased its net profit by 33% in the third quarter compared to the corresponding period of 2016 and expects a record business year by all parameters, the Belgrade Airport announced on November 13. Gross profit is also 30% higher than in the third quarter of 2016.

In the same period, operating profit was larger by 16%, whereas total and operating income is higher by 11%.

The net profit in the first three quarters amounts to RSD 2.7 billion and is higher by 14%, and the gross profit is 13% higher than in the corresponding period of 2016. The operating profit is 15% higher after three quarters, total income is higher by 9%, and the operating income is higher by 11% compared to the corresponding period of 2016.

In the first three quarters of 2017, total investments in equipment and investments to the end of increasing the comfort and the quality of service amount to around RSD 2 billion.

Among the most important investments realized in the first three quarters are: development of the central hall and adaptation of the passenger check-in area at Terminal 1 and procurement of an automatic aircraft navigation system, a business-information system and the equipment for self-check-in of passengers and luggage.

– These results are mostly down to an increase in the number of passengers by 9% in the three quarters, an increase in the flow of goods and mail by 38%, but also the rationalization of operation, along with realistic expectations that we will service a record number of over 5.3 million passengers by the end of the year – the press release says.
