"Alas Holding" invested 14.5m EUR in "Zorka Opeka" and "Zorka Keramika"
- Companies "Zorka Keramika" and "Zorka Opeka", members of Austrian "Alas Holding", are in the final phase of investments worth 14.5m EUR,
11m EUR of which was invested in development of "Keramika", while 3.5m EUR went to "Opeka" - people from "Alas holding" announced.
Investments in "Zorka Keramika" concern, first of all, procurement of the up-to-date equipment for production of ceramic tiles from the world's most famous manufacturer of industrial equimpent for production of ceramic tiles - company SACMI, as well as construction of two new factory halls.
The investments were also placed in reconstruction of the factory hall and equipment for production of bricks in "Zorka Opeka". With these significant investments, both factories announce further expansion on local market and penetration of east European markets whose demands are growing.
- Thanks to these investments, the capacity of factory "Zorka Keramika" has been increased from 2 to 6m square meters of tiles. We expect production and sales of about 3.2m square meters in 2008, 50% of which should be exported - Miloje Jovanović, the sales supervisor, announced.
"Zorka Opeka" now has production capacity of 6m pieces of climate-blocks or 50m pieces of facade bricks.
