Zrenjanin to get RSD 23 million from sale of land – Compressor & Engine Services to buy 10,000 m2 in Industrial Zone Southeast

The City Council of Zrenjanin approved the sale of 12 parcels of city building land to private investors today. The city's budget will gain around RSD 23 million after the sale, the website of the City of Zrenjanin reports.

Compressor & Engine Services bought 10,000 square meters in the Industrial Zone Southeast. As local media previously reported, the company offered RSD 950 per square meter of 10,393 m2 of building land in the industrial zone.

The remaining 11 bigger and smaller parcels were bought by private investors. The investors who bought the land have been given 15 days to pay the full sums reached at the direct bidding following the public invitation.

– The next step is to sign an agreement with the interested parties, which are to become owners of the land. The fact is that we sold 4,500 square meters for residential construction and 10,000 square meters for commercial construction in the Southeast zone at this contest, and the City of Zrenjanin thereby gained RSD 23 million – said Deputy Mayor Sasa Santovac.

As he said, the realization of the projects is expected to start after the agreements are signed, and the City will cooperate with the investors in order for the facilities to be built as soon as possible.
