Željko Ožegović - city manager of Belgrade?

In the next few days, Dragan Đilas will be interviewing the main candidates for city manager and architect who will be treated as the assistants of the Mayor within next 4 years.

As "Blic" finds out, the job of the former city manager will be done by Željko Ožegović, former Mayor of New Belgrade, and it is expected that he will be appointed in few days.

The new Law on capital city does not distinguish the functions of city manager and city architect (Bojan Stanojević and Đorđe Bobić at the time of Mayor Nenad Bogdanović). According to that Law, the Mayor has only 3 assistants and he can take another two if he finds that necessary. Since it is most likely that they will be appointed, the new assistants of Mayor Đilas will be in charge of economic development and urbanism (former city architect) and they will have less authorizations than Stanojević and Bobić.
