The plant operates as part of the Agricultural-Fishery Cooperative Sveti Nikola, owned by two Belgrade companies, Neimar V and Kemoimpex.
The owners of the companies, which possess 5,000 hectares of arable land, on which grains, vegetables and fruit are grown, with over a thousand hectares of fish ponds, as well as cattle and pig farms, want to change the way of doing business with the construction of the plant, namely, to have not just raw ingredients, but also finished products, present in the local and the foreign markets.
The owners’ plan is to create new Serbian brands recognizable worldwide.
Gojko Djosic, a prominent manager in the food industry, who was General Manager of Frikom until recently, has been appointed as director of Friglo.
