Ralu Serbia begins cooperating with Nagel-Group – Expansion of LTL network towards Balkans

Ralu Serbia, which specializes in cold chain logistics, has established cooperation with one of the biggest cold chain logistics companies in the western Europe, Nagel-Group, thereby becoming a part of the network of the company`s European branch offices.

As stated in the press release by Ralu Serbia, by using the existing infrastructure, both companies are working on expanding the LTL network from Europe towards the Balkans and from the Balkans towards the European states. This enables Nagel-Group clients to sell their merchandise and transport it to the territory of the Balkans, whereas Ralu can now offer the same service to its clients.

The cooperation also encompasses groupage shipments under controlled temperature regimes from Western Europe towards Serbia, and then also the delivery of the goods in the territory of Serbia within 24 hours through the existing cross-dock platforms.

– By initiating the cooperation with Nagel-Group, we provide our customers with a high-level service in the segment of groupage and individual loading of goods under controlled temperature regimes, by using the big network of Nagel distributive and cross dock centers throughout Europe. We thereby provide more possibilities and better solutions, an optimization of the supply chain through the lowering of the price of transport and acceptable transit times. Also, our company provides full (integrated) logistics service in the cold chain, engaging all available capacities – international transport, customs mediation services, storage and distribution to end customers – Vladimir Milosavljevic, director of Ralu Serbia, pointed out.

With this partnership, Nagel-Group is expanding the area covered with its unified network of controlled temperature regime for food products.

In order to further enhance the services, Ralu Logistika has also expanded its rolling stock by including new Mercedes vehicles, equipped with the latest technology. This is a combination of Mercedes Atego trucks, which have already proven their worth on European roads as a true solution for distribution transport, and Lamberet isolated chambers and cooling devices Carrier Transicolda, thereby creating a top quality delivery vehicle for temperatures of -30 to +30 degrees Celsius, the press release says.

After the expansion of the capacities and the development of the logistics-distribution center in the Ugrinovci business zone by a controlled temperature warehouse of 8,000 m2, Ralu is intensively filling these storage capacities. With the entrance of the first clients for whom distribution is carried out throughout Serbia, Ralu now provides a full logistics service in the cold chain. The first cross-dock platform in Nis has been established as well, which will considerably facilitate the activities, the press release adds.
