Fourth shipment of Valjevsko Pivo leaves for USA – Deliveries to Canada soon

A new 24-ton container of Valjevsko Pivo (Valjevo Beer) has left for the United States from Valjevska Pivara (Valjevo Brewery). This is the fourth delivery in a year and the second one in the past three months for the Valjevsko Pivo distributer from Chicago. This time, the so-called small beer of 0.33 liters was sent in branded cardboard packaging.

– It’s not a problem to sell a certain amount of the merchandize, but if the customer doesn’t come back, that’s a problem – director Aleksandar Rajevac said a year ago when the first larger shipment for the American market was sent.

Despite the fact that nearly all well-known beer brands from Serbia can be found in Chicago and other cities, Valjevsko Pivo has obviously been very well received. Aside from Illinois, the beer is available in several neighboring states as well. Traditional gatherings of Serbian migrants’ descendants in the summer months certainly contributed to an increase in the demand.

Exactly a year ago, a shipment of 23 pallets with nearly 30,000 bottles of 0.33-l and 0.5-l beer was sent from Valjevska Pivara.

At the time, Rajevac said that the first delivery had consisted of around 10,000 bottles as a sort of a test to see how the product would be received in the discerning American market.

– By realizing a good sale, we confirmed the quality of Valjevsko Pivo, and the new order, three times as big as the first one, is another confirmation – Rajevac said a year ago.
