Yinlong express interest in Ikarbus once again – Focus on production of electric buses

The Chinese Yinlong Group is interested in investing in Serbia in the field they specialize in, primarily the production of electric buses for public transport, the Ministry of Economy reported.

Representatives of the Yinlong Group said at the meeting with Minister of Economy Goran Knezevic and Prime Minister Ana Brnabic that numerous Chinese companies were arriving to invest in Serbia and that the economic cooperation between the two countries was deepening along with the project “One Belt, One Road”.

In Serbia, as they say, they find the potentials and possibilities of investment in Ikarbus, but other companies as well, the most interesting.

Minister Knezevic said to the representatives of the Yinlong Group that the business climate in Serbia had improved considerably in the past years and that, if they decided to invest, they would feel good in our country. Knezevic added that the Yinlong Group could place its products in Serbia, the region and beyond.

Prime Minister Brnabic also pointed out that Serbia had the strategic goal of becoming a part of the European Union, entailing the harmonization of the terms of doing business with the European standards.

Serbia, she added, already has free access to the European market, numerous free trade agreements, for example, with the Russian Federation and Belarus, preferential trade with the USA, a strategic partnership with the UAE and increasingly more developed relations with India – all of which are potential markets for companies producing in Serbia.
