Expobank credit portfolio increases 29% since March 2017

In the six months since March 1, 2017, Expobank in Serbia successfully implemented process of changing its name and optimizing activities, with increasing lending to economy, improving key business indicators and net interest margin, the bank announced.

According to the statement, successful bank operations, whose focus is to support small and medium enterprises dealing with international trade with Serbia's major trading partners, such as the European Union and Russia, is seen in the bank's loan portfolio which totaled RSD 3.8 billion on March 1, and Increased by 29% to RSD 5 billion by August 25

Growing share of loans to companies that work with EU and Russia has reached 15% to this day.


With an increase in loans to small and medium-sized enterprises, Expobank optimized its branch network, which led to planned reduction in deposits in the period immediately following the change of ownership and the change of the bank's name. However, deposits stabilized in August 2017, and the bank expects to grow by the end of the year, it was stated in the announcement.
