External audit for IPARD accreditation begins – First invitation for EU funds in 2017

Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Branislav Nedimovic met with Oscar Benedict, Deputy Head of the EU Delegation to Belgrade yesterday and informed him that the last one of the four requirements for the approval of the IPARD accreditation, the adaptation of the building of the Directorate for Agrarian Payments, had been completed and the the external audit by the competent institutions of the European Commission had thereby started.

As Minister Nedimovic said, maximum efforts were made to the end of removing all blocking factors and the first invitation for IPARD funds is expected by the end of the year.

Regarding the establishment of the operations of the Directorate for National Reference Laboratories, Minister Nedimovic stated that all the obstacles to the beginning of the activities of the milk quality testing laboratory within that project had also been removed and that the opening was expected in December.
