The president of the National Council for Coordination of Cooperation with the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China, Tomislav Nikolic, met with representatives of the China International Chamber of Commerce for the Private Sector (CICCPS), and its president, Sun Yanyun, announced that a forum would be organized in Belgrade where 500 businessmen for China would take part in order to get to know Serbia’s potentials.

– Serbia is a very important state for “One Belt, One Road” politically and we want to gain insight into all the options for cooperation, especially in tourism and the construction industry. We are therefore organizing a forum in Belgrade in which 500 businessmen from China will take part, whom you will be able to introduce to all the potentials Serbia has – Yanyun emphasized.

Nikolic welcomed the initiative of the CICCPS to connect with Serbian companies to the end of realizing joint projects in the interest of citizens of Serbia and China, the council reported.

– The possibilities of cooperation between Serbia and China are great, from investments in infrastructure, transport, energy, tourism, food production. Our state stimulates investors, is fully open for cooperation and provides all the conditions necessary for the production of goods for any market, even China – Nikolic said.

According to him, Chinese construction companies have many options available in Serbia as well.

– There are roads that need to be built. The construction of the Belgrade-Budapest railway is especially important to us, but we are also considering the possibility of modernization and reconstruction of other railways, especially the Belgrade-Sarajevo railway. Our tourism offer includes spa and health tourism, a great chance for the recovery and treatment of our citizens – Nikolic pointed out.

Sun said that the CICCPS, the first private chamber of commerce founded in PR China, had over 500 members, medium and large private companies, such as the online commerce company Alibaba and the car factory Geely, the press release says.
