The Chinese province of Zhejiang intends to start building a new film town in Belgrade, considering that their experience in this field is vast and that 40% of the annual production in China originates there.

Yuan Jiajun, the governor of the Chinese province, also said that businessmen from Zhejiang are planning to turn the Belmax center in New Belgrade into a distribution seat of the Chinese commerce for Southeast Europe.

This entails the modernization of the Belmax center and the expansion of its capacities to include the fields of agriculture and ICT.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajic pointed out that a more direct contact between businessmen from Serbia and China would be established that way, considering that over 50% of the trade between the two countries was being carried out through third countries at the moment, says the press release by the Ministry.

Ljajic and Jiajun agreed to sign an agreement on the economic and trade cooperation between Serbia and Zhejiang in September. The agreement would define the fields with the biggest potential for further enhancement.

Zhejiang has close to 60 million citizens and is one of the most economically developed areas in China.
