Increasingly more Iranian tourists in Serbia – Meeting of tour operators of two countries in October in Belgrade

A mutual abolition of visas, as well as an establishment of a regular airline between Serbia and Iran would be an important step towards enhancing the cooperation of the two countries in the field of tourism, Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications of Serbia Rasim Ljajic and Ambassador of Iran to Serbia Hossein Molla Abdollahi agreed on Friday, July 14, 2017.

As stated on the website of the Government of Serbia, the main topic of the meeting was the strengthening of the economic relations of the two countries, with special focus on cooperation in the field of tourism.

The Iranian ambassador said that he was pleased that more and more Iranian tourists were coming to Serbia and announced that 15 charter flights from Tehran to Belgrade would be realized by the end of the summer.


An agreement was also reached at the meeting that the session of the Mixed Committee for economic cooperation of the two countries should take place in Belgrade in the second half of October, when a business forum and a meeting between the most important tour operators of Serbia and Iran are also to be held.
