Kristina Johansson appointed head of METRO Serbia

Kristina Johansson was appointed new CEO of METRO Cash & Carry Serbia on July 1, 2017, the company reported.

Having acquired years of professional experience in strategic development of global companies, Kristina Johansson joined the METRO team in October 2016. She had been building her successful career by working as a management consultant at Accenture and then spending 15 years in IKEA, in several markets, on various leading positions, the last of which was the Divisional CEO at IKEA Netherlands.

– It is my great pleasure to assume the duties and responsibilities of the CEO of METRO Serbia and start a new phase in my professional career. I see great business potential here and, at the same time, the true challenge and pleasure of contributing to further development and business success the company has had in this country. We will continue placing a strong focus on our main goal in order to provide the best conditions to the customers and the employees – Johansson said.
