"Lafarge" announced offer for takeover of remaining 15.67% of stocks of Beočin-based cement factory for 15.5m EUR
French company "Lafarge" has announced the offer today (June 26, 2008) for takeover of remaining 15.67% of stocks of Beočin-based cement factory "Lafarge BFC" for total of 1.2 billion RSD (about 15.5m EUR).
According to the offer published on the web site of the Central Securities Registry, "Lafarge", with the headquarters in Paris, intends to buy another 79,105 stocks of the cement factory in Beočin at price of 15,600 RSD per stock.
The offer will be opened prior to July 16.
The accounting value of the stocks of cement factory "Lafarge BFC", on the basis of business results in 2007, amounts to 11,606 RSD, and the average pondered price of stocks in the previous three months amounted to 15,112 RSD per stock.
French "Lafarge" bought 70% of capital of Cement factory in Beočin on the tender in 2002 for 50.89m USD and it later increased its ownership share to 84.32%, that is,425,540 stocks.
According to the data provided by the Belgrade Stock Exchange, market value of cement factory "LafargeBFC" is 7.9 billion RSD, that is, about 155m USD according to today's exchange rate. The earnings per stock (EPS) in 2007 amounted to 4,316 RSD, while the returns on equity (ROE) amounted to 37.18%.
The cement factory ended last year with the profit worth 2.18 billion RSD, which is 28% more than in 2006.
