City Manager Goran Vesic stated on June 6 that the investors which were to build the Chinese cultural center in Belgrade had paid the construction land compensation in the amount of RSD 417 million to the city budget and that they would get the building permit on the same date, Beoinfo reports.

– The Chinese investor paid RSD 417 million to the city budget yesterday as compensation for the usage of building land. The conditions have thereby met for the City of Belgrade to issue the building permit for the construction of this facility today – Vesic said.

He said that the building permit would be issued for a facility with 27,970 square meters, of which the underground garages with 218 parking spaces would take up 8,888 square meters, whereas the cultural center facility was to take up 5,463 square meters. Vesic also said that China would have the biggest cultural center in Europe in Belgrade.
