Following several unsuccessful attempts at a sale of AHA Mura Prvi Maj Pirot, the new attempt appears to be more likely to succeed, as there are three potential purchasers this time.

Rodoljub Ciric, president of the Autonomous Trade Union of the district said for PlusOnline that the sales documentation had been bought by three interested purchasers before the expiration of the deadline.

Let us remind that the bankruptcy supervisor of the Pirot factory is trying to sell the textile factory for the fifth time, this time through collection of written bids.

The estimated value of AHA Mura Prvi Maj is RSD 631 million, and potential purchasers need to pay the deposit of RSD 126.2 million by May 29.

The bids will be opened on May 31.

The former textile giant Prvi Maj Pirot went into bankruptcy in 2015, and the previous four attempts at a sale entailed public bidding. Prvi Maj used to have close to 7,000 employees and around 150 stores throughout the former Yugoslavia. They produced sports clothing for national teams, and their merchandize was available in Italy, Germany and Russia as well.
