Ante Ramljak to visit Belgrade on May 17

Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajic stated today that the trustee for Agrokor, Ante Ramljak, was coming to Belgrade on Wednesday in order to discuss plans for the stabilization of the company.

When asked by the press whether any of Agrokor's companies had asked the Government of Serbia for help, he said that they had intervened in the case of Zrenjanin's Mlekoprodukt and that one installment had been repaid, as well as that no other companies had asked them to intervene.

– We have already made one intervention, the one in the Mlekoprodukt case, related to their relationship with Mercator Serbia. An installment was paid then, and we have not been contacted by Mlekoprodukt again since. Ramljak will visit Belgrade on Wednesday and we will talk with him about the current problems in Agrokor – Ljajic said.

According to him, Ramljak's visit is part of the activities undertaken to that end, and the guest will arrive to Belgrade following his meetings in B&H and Slovenia.

He pointed out that there would be talk about Agrokor's plans for the stabilization of the entire concern in both Croatia and the subsidiaries in Serbia.

The Croatian Parliament earlier adopted Lex Agrokor, enabling extraordinary management in Agrokor and other companies of systematic importance for Croatia which have over a billion euros of debt and at least 5,000 employees.
