Cooperatief IMI Europe buys 5 hectares at Niska Banja – Construction of factory to begin in summer

(Illustration) The Filipino car component company Cooperatief IMI (Integrated Micro-Electronics) Europe bought 5 hectares of land at Lozni Kalem near Niska Banja for around EUR 2 million. According to the investor’s announcements, the construction of the factory will start this summer.
IMI should employ 1,250 people in the next ten years, as defined by the agreement signed by Minister of Economy Goran Knezevic and the Executive Director of the company, Gilles Bernard.
As announced earlier by Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic, the company will get subsidies of EUR 6,800 per employee. The Local Economic Development Office said that a considerable percentage of the newly employed will be engineers and highly-qualified workforce.
Let us remind that the company produces precision electronics for vehicles, known as EMS systems. Cooperatief IMI Europe is a Filipino company whose European headquarters are located in Holland. Their website says that they have 13 factories in 6 countries of Asia, Europe and North America.
