MK Group denies allegations of transaction in Ukraine – Anti-Monopoly Committee approves acquisition of shares?

MK Group has not realized any binding or final transaction in Ukraine, the company reported in response to the Interfax allegations that the Ukrainian Kernel Holding is to take over shares in ten agricultural companies owned by Agro Invest Ukraine, owned by Miodrag Kostic.

– If any such transaction takes place, the public will be notified on time – MK Group said for Tanjug.

Interfax reported on Wednesday, May 3, 2017, citing the press release by the Anti-Monopoly Committee of Ukraine, that the company Jerste B.V, a member of Kernel Holding, had been allowed to take over shares in the share capital of Agro Invest Ukraine, Agro Logistics Ukraine, a subsidiary Bohdanivske Wirfil Limited, subsidiary Kyivska Rus Wirfil Limited, subsidiary Kolos Wirfil Limited, subsidiary Lan Wirfil Limited. The shares have also changed ownership in Dolynka-Agro, Korytnia-Agro KM, Lukashyvka and Yushkivsti-Agr.

Kernel Holding would acquire more than 50% votes in these companies' managing bodies through this acquisition.

Kernel Holding is the biggest global producer and exporter of sunflower oil, as well as the leading producer and supplier of agricultural products from the Black Sea region in the global market.

Agro Invest Ukraine has been operating in the Ukrainian market since 2006 and is a member of Miodrag Kostic's MK Group, the Ukrainian agency writes. The company's core activity is grain growing and storage and livestock farming.
