Eight Spanish companies at Novi Sad Agricultural Fair

Backed by the Department of Commerce and Economics of the Embassy of Spain in Belgrade and the Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade ICEX, eight Spanish companies will take part in the Novi Sad International Agricultural Fair for the second year in a row.

These companies are leaders in the field of agricultural production technology and equipment and will share their experience and practice with Serbian businessmen and producers from May 13 till 19, as reported by the Embassy of Spain.

The choice of Serbia as the country to be visited by IMA, Caudal Extruline Systems, Control De Heladas, Rosal Instalaciones Agroindustriales, Agralia, Irconfort, Hefe Fertilizer and Javier Cámara is based on the good political and economic relations between the two countries, but also on Serbia's favorable geographic position.

In the past five years, the trade between Serbia and Spain has been on a constant rise, and it is believed that there is still a lot of room for enhancing the economic relations.

Imports from Spain to Serbia slightly exceeded exports from Serbia to Spain in 2016, with pork meat taking the top spot, with an increase by 7.11% compared to the previous year, whereas motor vehicle components and equipment placed second.

The import of Spanish truck tractor-semitrailers increased nearly four times compared to 2015, amounting to a total of EUR 6.65 million.

On the other hand, the list of products exported by Serbia to Spain is topped by furniture and furniture components, followed by corn, rubber products and pneumatic products, the press release says.
