Ambassador of Switzerland to Serbia Philippe Guex stated on Friday, April 7, in Nis that he believed that the new Nis-Zurich route of Swiss International would bring southeast Serbia closer to foreign investors.

The new airline, Guex added, is also a new opportunity for the development of tourism.

– Our bilateral relations are getting better and better. The number of overnight stays of Swiss tourists in Serbia doubled last year – Guex said and added that there were 37 flights between various destinations in Serbia and Switzerland at the moment.

The director of the Nis Airport, Vladica Djurdjanovic, reminded that the Nis Airport had seen a considerable increase in passenger and cargo transport in the previous two years, as well as that the airport had had 71,000 passengers in the first three months of 2017.

The Swiss airline established flights from the Nis Airport on April 2. The summer schedule features two Swiss flights a week, Fridays and Sundays.

Let us remind that the Swiss company Germania is also to establish regular flights on the Nis-Zurich route on June 23.
