Changes in pharmaceutical market in the region- Sopharma Trading acquires PharmaStore pharmacies operations

The decision for merging of companies is aligned with the strategic plans of Sopharma Trading, expansion of market presence in retail segment of the pharmaceutical sector. Joining SOpharmacy will strengthen position of both chains, and together they will be able to provide a stronger response to the growing demands of patients in quality health services provision.

As this pharmaceutical company operates in Serbia, according to our law, transaction requires the opinion of the Commission for Protection of Competition. Both chains will maintain their autonomous control. Plans for future development and integration of SOpharmacy and PharmaStore will be created by management of both companies within a few months after legal closing of the transaction.
