"Airport City Beograd" officially the best office space in the region

The first business park in Serbia - Belgrade-based "Airport City", has announced that media group "Europaproperty.com" granted the regional award for the best office space project in 2007 to "Airport City".

According to the announcement, "Europaproperty.com" is one of the leading European media focused on the real estate market in Europe and it grants the awards every year to the most successful projects in the region in several categories.

The third phase of construction in "Airport City", about 65,000 square meters of office space, is about to end.

By the end of year 2007, about 34,000 square meters of office space had been built within "Airport City" and that space is rented mainly by foreign companies that operate in Serbia. Total of 40m EUR has been invested so far.

Also, construction of a luxury hotel worth over 60m EUR is in the pipeline and it should commence in August 2008.

Company "Africa Israel", which is the majority owner of the project, announced earlier that it had planned to keep on investing in Serbia and that the level of investments would depend on the business opportunities and available building land.
