(Ana Brnabic) Minister of state administration and local self-government Ana Brnabic said that not before than in 2019 Serbia can get a new system of public administration.
- By the end of 2017, we have to make law on wages and by the end of 2018 to form the National Academy and I hope, by then, we make the right system for evaluation of civil servant because there will be no effect if we work without it – Brnabic said in her interview for Biznis magazine.
Brnabic also added that two registries should be the basis for electronic governmental state - register of citizens and register of address information and it is also necessary to enable electronic cards payment through e-Uprava portal. - This can be done in this mandate, and then to proceed further. For, settling the situation in the public administration is a process that in many countries lasted for two and more decades. But, it is important that ministers do not move always from scratch when they start to work - she said.
She explained that electronic payments will start in the next six months, because the working group has already been working on it and there are some solutions.
- As far as registers are concerned, it is a big job and only at the end of 2018 and beginning of 2019 we can expect that they start working. This year we adopt the law on address register and the Law on Registry of citizens and then we start to work on other things– Brnabic said.
