Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic stated on Friday, March 10, 2017, in Lebane that the Turkish company Ormo would start producing yarn in two to three months and employ 300 people in the next five years.

Vucic and the representatives of the Turkish company visited the facilities of the ruined company 15. maj Eksporteks, for whose purchase and adaptation the Government of Serbia has set aside 147 million.

Before the visit, representatives of the local self-government and the Turkish company signed an agreement on adapting the facilities and initiating the production.

Representative of the Turkish company Besim Nikar expressed his satisfaction over the fact that the agreed procedures were going according to plan.

He said that the Turkish company produced 250 tons of yarn a day and that the biggest producers and exporters of the textile goods were from Turkey.

– We will initially be producing 10 to 15 tons of yarn in Lebane. If it turns out that the situation is favorable, we might increase the production – Nikar said.
