Slovenian “Tus Telekom” is buying "Telekom Srbija"?
Slovenian journal for commerce and finances “Finance” unofficially got information that Slovenian Tus Telekom (www.tustelekom.si) wishes to buy "Telekom Srbija".
In today’s edition (May, 7th, 2008), the journal published a survey of Slovenian commercials within the sector of telecommunications, and about the possible purpose of “Telekom Srbija” and their normal aspiration to further expand.
Slovenian representative in Belgrade, Igor Lavs, stated that “Telekom Srbija” has been showing for already a while “ambition to become regional player.”
Lavs thinks that drawn by it Telekom Srbija started with purchases in Montenegro, and took over “Telekom” of Republika Srpska. The same goals has the new management, chosen in February, therefore, entrance to Slovenian market wouldn’t be a surprise.”
The President of the management of “Telekom Slovenia” Bojan Dremelje points out that his company “has a very clear expansion strategy to other markets of Southeastern Europe, as it is very aware that in mature and over crowded domestic market can not be reached significant growth.”
