The plan of the initial activities was defined in late January in Mali Zvornik at the joint meeting between representatives of the municipality and the Public Investment Management Office of the Republic of Serbia, at which possibilities of raising a biomass-fueled heating plan were considered.
The meeting was attended by expert associates of the Public Investment Management Office Djordje Vukovic, Radoje Kremzer and Sinisa Djeric, president of the municipality of Mali Zvornik, Zoran Jevtic, director of the local PUE Drina, Dragan Cikaric and the heating plant's head engineer, Zoran Stankovic, malizvornik.info writes.
The heating plant's capacity should be around 2.4 MW. It has been agreed for woodchips to be its main energy source, whereas an oil or gas furnace has been planned as an additional heating source during peak demand periods.
It was concluded that the construction of the Mali Zvornik heating plant will most probably be financed by KfW, which, as it was said, depends on the investment value of the project, malizvornik.info writes.
The current boiler room in Mali Zvornik is old and has not been able to meet the demands of the users in the town for a long time, making the construction of the heating plant, which will provide more quality and less expensive heating service, a priority.
