German beer made of cannabis obtained permit for sale in Serbia

Beer with the extract of industrial hemp appeared in the retail sector of Serbia. The manufacturer is Dupetit Natural Products from Germany, whereas the importer and general distributor for SCG is company Kanabia Ltd. (Belgrade, 63 Gostivarska Street, Voždovac). The Ministry of Health of Republic of Serbia gave the green light to import on the basis on analysis carried out by the Institute for Hygiene of Military Medical Academy, the Health Care Institute Dr Milan Jovanović Batut, as well as Agricultural Faculty in Belgrade. The general opinion is that the beer does not contain psychoactive substances, i.e. THC. THC is the compound that has hallucinogenic effects and can be found in hemp. The beer has the taste of cannabis, but without unwanted effects.
