Verka Atanaskovic acting director of Anti-Corruption Agency

Verka Atanaskovic has been appointed acting director of the Anti-Corruption Agency by that institution's Board.

Atanaskovic is Assistant Director in the Department for Resolving Conflict of Interest and will perform her duties until the election of the Director of the Anti-Corruption Agency, following a public contest.

As stated, the Board reached the decision at the session of January 25, 2017.

The decision has been made as the contest for the election of the new Director is in progress, whereas Deputy Director Vladan Joksimovic has resigned due to being appointed Head of the Office of the Regional Anti-corruption Initiative (RAI).

As said at the Agency for Tanjug earlier, the new director should be elected at the next Board session, to take place in February.
