Gorenje makes net profit of EUR 8 million in 2016 – Total revenues EUR 1.25 billion

Gorenje Group ended 2016 with a net profit of EUR 8 million, following a loss of EUR 8 million a year before, the Slovenian household appliance manufacturer reported. The company had sales revenues of EUR 1.25 billion in 2016, which is 2.6% more than in 2015.

As stated in the report, Gorenje increased the sale of premium and innovative devices, which made up 27.4% of the turnover of large household appliances, whereas the sale of small household appliances jumped by 33%.

The group strengthened its position and sales in Russia, Ukraine and East Europe, Benelux, Australia, USA and Asia. Investments in marketing and development increased to EUR 31 million.

The EBITDA is estimated at EUR 87 million, which is 8.6% more than in 2015, the company said.


Relative debts of the company continued to decrease, with the ratio of net financial debt and EBITDA dropping down to 3.9.

In line with its strategy of focusing on its core activities, Gorenje sold its stock in the waste management company Publicus and its branch Ecogor.
