New tender for reconstruction of Slavija – Bid submission till February 7, 2017

The web page of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development published a new request for tender for the reconstruction of Slavija, Oslobodjenja Blvd, Ruzveltova Street and Mije Kovacevica Street on December 12. Interested companies can submit bids until February 7, 2017.

As the bank's report states, the Agency for Investment and Housing of Belgrade intends to utilize a part of the EBRD loan, as well as a part of the donation by the European Investment Bank (EIB), to cover the expenses of the transport infrastructure improvement project.

The works encompass the reconstruction of tram tracks and the contact network, carriageways and the utility infrastructure on Slavija on an area of around 14,000 square meters and Oslobodjenja Blvd from Slavija to the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine with a total length of 947 meters, but also from Ruzveltova Street and Mije Kovacevica Street with a length of 1,534 meters.

Furthermore, the contractor will need to perform works related to street drainage, traffic signalization and equipment, as well as public lighting.

The Agency for Investment and Housing issued a notice on the cancellation of the previous procurement procedure, due to, as they said, the change in the procurement strategy of the City of Belgrade.

This tender was entered by: MBA Ratko Mitrovic Niskogradnja and the group of bidders JV Italiana Costruzioni, Milenium Team and Novi Pazar Put. The local bidder even provided a discount of 6%, and the cost thereby amounted to RSD 1,203,617,864.24, VAT included, whereas the consortium headed by the Italian company offered the price of RSD 1,178,413,746.26, VAT not included.
