"BD Agro" to have farm for 3,000 cows built in Novi Bečej – investment worth 35m EUR

The representatives of Serbian-Canadian company "BD Agro" announced on Friday (March 28, 2008), in the presence of Canadian ambassador to Serbia, Robert McDougal, that they would have the largest and the most modern cattle farm in Europe built in Novi Bečej. This company already has modern cow farm in Dobanovci.

- We will have a farm for 3,000 cows and with milking unit built in Novi Bečej, in which we will invest 35m EUR. Its technology and capacities will make it the most modern and the largest farm in Europe. Production on that farm will be exceeding 30m liters of milk per year. Also, we will have a farm built for 3,200 heads of cattle in one turnus – said Đuro Obradović, co-owner of company "BD Agro".

The company will invest additional 3.2m EUR in machines for land cultivation.
