Cacak’s Feplo good example of circular economy – Eco waterproof panels exported to Germany, Italy, Austria and Slovenia

The Cacak-based company Feplo is the only company in this part of Europe that produces ecological waterproof panels. Thanks to using recycled materials, the company’s products are cheaper by up to 15%, and they operate successfully abroad as well.
– We produce ecological waterproof panels and have 25 workers. We are very popular in the market, because we are a good example of circular economy. More precisely, we use recycled tetrapack. Aside from having a longer lifespan, our panels are also 100% ecological, as we do not use glues which turn carcinogenic after 10-15 years – says Vladimir Jakovljevic of Feplo.
– We process 200 tons of tetrapack a month in producing waterproof panels. We are the only company in Europe in this business. More than 150 storages in Serbia purchase our products, and we also export them to Germany, Italy, Austria and Slovenia – he adds.
The fact that waste processing is becoming an increasingly lucrative business is confirmed by the data from the PUE Regionalna Deponija Duboko. According to the director, Nedeljko Milosavljevic, around 6% of the total amount of waste is bought by companies dealing in waste processing.
– Cardboard, paper, PET packaging, plastic, hard plastic, aluminum cans, metal, rubber and other materials are the most popular. There are buyers for each type of material every year. The Serbian market has a much greater need for this type of raw material than can be provided at the moment – Milosavljevic says.
