The administrative receiver of Pirot-based AHA Mura Prvi Maj, Miroljub Dimitrijevic, has decided to put the company up on sale once again through public bidding. The sales ad will be published on December 16 in Politika and Novosti, and the public bidding will take place on January 20, 2017.

The starting price remains the same and amounts to RSD 283.95 million. Potential buyers need to lay down a deposit of RSD 126.2 million.

The administrative receiver has notified all the potential buyers who have previously shown interest in purchasing the factory and has also filed notifications on the sale to the embassies of Russia, Italy, Turkey, Portugal, Bulgaria and Slovenia.

The Backa Palanka-based company Ferrari Investments East Europe bought AHA Mura Prvi Maj in bankruptcy on September 19 at the starting price of RSD 283.95, but failed to pay the deposit of RSD 126.2 million even after two extensions of the deadline, causing Dimitrijevic to call a new sale.

This company was the only one to answer the ad and file a bank guarantee for the deposit payment at the time.

On Sunday, December 11, the decision on the payment of nine minimum wages from the Solidarity Fund was handed over to the third group of the 222 former workers of AHA Mura Prvi Maj.

The factory used to employ 1,300 workers, and it has been in bankruptcy since June 25, 2016.
