The Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport had 331,242 passengers in November, setting a record for that month, stated Acting Director General Sasa Vlaisavljevic and added that the airport would have served more than 4.9 million passengers by the end of the year.

– In the second half of the year, we are making absolute records each month. In November, the record-setting 331.242 passengers were served, as much as 11% more compared to the same month last year, which is the largest percentage growth this year – Vlaisavljevic emphasized.

He added that the airport was continuing breaking records in all segments and that it was certain that 2016 would be another record-setting year for them. As he says, the number of departures and arrivals also increased in November by 4% compared to the same month last year.

– We've served around 4.6 million passengers this year, which allows us to make realistic projections of more than 4.9 million passengers in 2016 – Vlaisavljevic points out.

The Belgrade Airport is also making great results regarding the regularity of air transport. More than 90% flights were made without delay, whereas only 1.5% flights were made with a great delay, which is a result twice as good as the one made in November 2015. The average delay was reduced from eight to less than six minutes.

The records set in the volume of traffic are reflected in financial results as well.

– The total revenues made in the first ten months of 2016 amount to EUR 60.4 million, whereas the operating income amounts to EUR 58.9 million and is 5% larger compared to the same period of the last year. The net profit in this period amounted to EUR 21.6 million and is larger by 22% compared to last year – Vlaisavljevic said.

With the pretax margin of 40% in 2016, the Nikola Tesla Airport is by far the most successful of the enterprises whose majority owner is the state. More than RSD 1.7 billion in dividends and interim dividends were paid to the budget of Serbia and to minority shareholders. Furthermore, early last week, RSD 300 million was paid to the budget in interim dividend for 2016.
