Netflix enables watching movies and series offline

Netflix has decided to finally provide its users with an option to download series and films for watching offline.

The company has announced that its users will be able to enjoy numerous series and films, and the selection currently includes, Stranger Things, The Crown, Narcos and Orange is the New Black, but also Breaking Bad, Mad Men, Paddington, Minions and Kung Fu Panda 3.

Among the movies included are Boyhood, Pulp Fiction, Nightcrawler, Good Will Hunting, Hot Fuzz and many others, and Netflix has also announced that additional content will be made available for download.

Following the update of the latest Netflix for Android or iOS, the download option will appear next to the approved content streaming option and allow the user to save the content in order to be able to watch it offline. There are two image quality options – standard and higher.

– Standard quality is a slightly lower video resolution that requires less storage space and takes less time to download. Higher quality is a higher video resolution that requires more storage space and takes more time to download – Netflix says.
