The City of Belgrade will become a co-owner of Ikarbus based on the companies income tax debt, following the decision made by the Assembly of the City of Belgrade to convert the receivables in the amount of around RSD 15 million into a permanent share of the company's assets. The company produces buses and specialized vehicles.

As stated in the decision, the conversion of receivables will be carried out as part of the reorganization plan for Ikarbus.

Deputy Mayor Andreja Mladenovic says that Ikarbus is tied to the city and that it can't persevere without Belgrade. He said that the only certain purchaser of Ikarbus is the City of Belgrade and that the majority of GSP vehicles, 980 of them, were manufactured at Ikarbus.

The Democratic Party member Balsa Bozovic said that Ikarbus was undergoing technological difficulties and that it was another factory which would be closed down.
